Each Thing has eight visual traits. Those traits map to emotions and colours, which determine the weather, the synesthetic line, and the tone of the scene around it. The moment, the time, and the sound are drawn from curated pools. These lines are assembled into a signal. All of the prose was written by hand. The system is generative in structure, not in language.
